What is all of this magic talk about? PSD to CMS has all kinds of tools that are awesome to blow your mind and create a website. Unique Layouts are barely ever used, so by thinking outside of the box and creating something a bit more unique, you can certainly stand out from the crowd.

Of course, when being creative you also need to be careful.
Do not fall victim of:

Laziness – To stand out you must innovate and challenge established practice. There are different ways of doing the same as your competitors.

Fear – It is a normal human reaction to what is unknown but if you do not take risks every once in a while, then there is no way you will stand out.

Lack of forethought – See what other fields are doing, how they communicate with their clients and let them inspire you.

PSD to CMS is not an easy choice, that is why here is a list of reasons why choosing the right one can help you choose the best content management system for your needs.

PSD to CMS is not an easy choice, that is why here is a list of reasons why choosing the right one can help you choose the best content management system for your needs.

First of all, Content Management Systems (CMS) are a collection of procedures used to manage workflow in a collaborative environment. These procedures can be manual or computer-based and are designed to do the following:

Allow for a large number of people to contribute and share stored data

Control access to data, based on user roles (defining which information users or user groups can view, edit, publish, etc.)

Aid in easy storage and retrieval of data

Reduce repetitive duplicate input

Improve the ease of report writing

Improve communication between users

Why Choose PSD to WordPress?

Unlike remote-hosted scripts such as Blogger and LiveJournal, you host WordPress on your own server. Another benefit is that there are not a million files to change mode nor are there dozens of templates to edit just to get your HTML to WordPress set up and looking the way you want. Waiting for pages to rebuild is a thing of the past because template changes are made in scant seconds.

WordPress is built following W3C standards for XHTML and CSS, ensuring that your site is more easily rendered across standards-compliant browsers. Do not use it as an e-Commerce because it won’t work as you want it.

Why Choose PSD to Magento?

For companies who are serious about their online eCommerce the choice has become much easier. The Magento platform is a proven system that continues to evolve with each extension developed and with each system upgrade.

One of Magento’s key selling points is its ease of use for both the seller and the customer. Some key features include:

Marketing Promotions and Tools (coupons, featured items, gift cards & more)

Analytics and Reporting

Site Management

Advanced Shipping

For customers the benefits include:

Navigation for Filtering of Products in Categories

Product Reviews

One-page Checkout Capability

Extensive Shipping Options

Why Choose PSD to Drupal?

Drupal’s amazing flexibility means that it is just as easy to create a blog, user forum, ecommerce site, or a corporate site using the same framework. Drupal adheres to all web standards and uses modern techniques for XHTML, HTML to CSS, and JavaScript. You can do with it what you want with PSD to HTML5, and it doesn’t cost anything whether you have one or a thousand servers.

Why Choose PSD to Shopify?

Shopify is a slick system and their template engine is awesome and easy to work with. It does have a limitation of how many product variations you can have. It will only list up to 100 variations per product and no more than 3 options (ex: color, size, material). So for example if you have a t-shirt in 4 sizes and 3 colors, it can handle that just fine. But if you are selling a duvet cover in 5 sizes, 10 colors and 3 different cloth types, that would be a problem.

If you have a lot of traffic to your store, then you’ll want the higher cost plan, but if your traffic is lower you can pay less. In other words, with Shopify you really have the opportunity to allow your sales to pay for your shopping cart.

Why Choose PSD to Joomla?

By choosing an off-the-shelf industry-standard solution like Joomla, you can choose from thousands of web-designers familiar with this platform rather than locking yourself in to a custom built solution where the only person who understands it is the person who built it.

Other benefits

Versatile and customizable

Free Open Source Software

Wide range of extensions (see below)

Easy to use

Large developer & user community

Those are just the top of the iceberg, remember to choose wisely and always investigate first.

Code My Concept just trained a whole new group of excellent PSD to HTML coders and they are starting with great results, but why is that every team of coders CodeMyConcept trains are ready to write kick ass codes?

Code My Concept just trained a whole new group of excellent PSD to HTML coders and they are starting with great results, but why is that every team of coders CodeMyConcept trains is ready to write kick-ass code?

PSD to HTML training:

First of all they go through a set of theory classes about how to write totally awesome code for menus, div basics (header, sidebar, body, and footer), galleries, videos, etc, just to get things started. The second step is the most important: all trainees go to war practice, where they must survive intensive cases of completely difficult and general subjects like theme html; this taks place throughout just a month where the supervisors control the progress level in order to decide when they will be really ready to start working in the floor.

Quality:

Our Quality Team is completely committed to achieving Pixel Perfect; if it is not right then these guys are going to make it right, make it happen. As a first step they must become HTML coders Masters and then go for cross browsing domination, check if the HTML code works in all of the major browsers Safari, Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera; and of course, spelling practices. You might know them; they constantly talk to you when your website is in process.

PSD to WordPress training:

We’ve got faith in these guys! With Google as their best friend, they have to master PHP and Javascript (you must already know HTML and CSS or some coding level to be a friend with these guys) and after a month of full, extensive practice they are ready to go for it and completely blow our minds with awesome wordpress template, wordpress themes or custom wordpress.

PSD to Magento training:

After 4 months, these guys are ready to make your website the best salesman ever, but don’t get us wrong, this is not in any way an easy training. Magento is one of the most difficult CMSs to code. Why is that? Because it must be easy to understand for the final client be able to use it, have the right Magento theme and make css templates come to life.

PSD to Joomla training:

With a full control over logic programming, they are ready in a month to make any joomla template, joomla theme you throw at them and we mean anything. They must master component creation in order to work your website.

PSD to Drupal training:

They go in pursuit of any “Do as I command” programs out there that do not let them work in totally synchrony with your PSD. With the new release of Drupal 7.0 it is necessary to know front and backend programming, how to use views to be able to master any Drupal theme or Drupal Template and become your best ally in only a month.

Customer Service training:

Your every day friends, those guys maybe have it the worst of all: in our particular way of customer service, there is not a script to follow, every customer has their different problems or questions that our representative must answer with full quality and they must be capable to give out a concrete answer in order to satisfy your questions.

This is how we become awesome, the Certified CodeMyConcept training!

One of Firefox’s great Add-ons, Pixel Perfect, is CodeMyConcept’s quality sign for every PSD to HTML conversion and/or implementation. Here is a little something we put together for you about our Pixel Perfect quality system.

Let’s start with Pixel Perfect‘s definition: this add-on allows web developers to easily overlay a web composition over the developed html. This Firefox add-on was created just for designers that need to make sure what’s displayed in the browser matches the PSD design and that the integrity of the designs is maintained.

One of the things you should always keep in mind are the web safe fonts. For those of you who don’t have an idea of what this is: web safe fonts are the fonts nearly universally available on any computer. That is why when any user, regardless of their device preferences, goes to the website they have the same experience as anyone else in the world.

This is what web standards are all about, please make sure the designer you are paying for you PSD design is working with web safe fonts. And if you are making your own, here are some of the fonts you can use:

Arial

Arial Black

Cambria

Century Gothic

Comic Sans MS

Georgia

Impact

Times New Roman

Verdana

PSD to HTML

Our coders first of all got through a completely push up and mind exhausting month of the heaviest projects ever, this training is just for survivors!

They are taught about the rendering process for each software Safari, Opera, Chrome, Firefox and Explorer (no more Explorer 6, let’s help get it to 1%), it is not the same for all of them so as a client you could specify which one would be in use even though we must give you the files completely synchronized with the main five browsers.

They practice the creation of clean, flexible code for making easy any process after them; use jQuery if it is needed and the finalized website must look exactly like the PSD design, making sure font sizes and line heights are respected.

For our other process like PSD to Magento, PSD to Worpdress, PSD to Drupal and PSD to Joomla they must recheck the codes in order to edit the changes or put the pages together in order to be sent to customers to final check out.

Another very important subject is the difference between Photoshop Render and other browser renders, even though we work with HTML5 (this new version makes it easier for you to read and organize your code, and makes it easier to organize your content), with the last one you won’t achieve a 100% copy of the PSD design, why is that?

One answer is because of web safe fonts: when a designer does not use them the coder must replace them what means the design would look a little weird just because of the font, or it won’t fit the page the same way it was previewed.

Another answer is the limitations still existing in the code world about going all creative on them, but it’s getting there we hope. We dream of an era where codes would be asking designers to give them more creative ideas.

Hope we help you understand more of this wonderful area.

That’s all folks!

Most of you probably already know what Joomla is, however for those of you who don’t let me give you a quick explanation:

Joomla is one of the most flexible and user friendly content management systems ever, and not only it kicks ass when it comes to making a website user friendly to manage all content, it is also open source, meaning that it is free, and we all love it when things are free.

With Joomla, basically anyone can manage content, which can be simple text, photos, music, video, documents or anything you may want to include on your website. So how does PSD to Joomla works you wonder… is really like a walk in the park.

First of all you should know that Joomla is really good for pretty much everything and anything you can think of, based on their website and our own experience as well, you can use Joomla for:

* Corporate Web sites

* Corporate intranets and extranets

* Online magazines, newspapers, and publications

* E-commerce and online reservations

* Government applications

* Small business Web sites

* Non-profit and organizational Web sites

* Community-based portals

* School and church Web sites

* Personal or family homepages

It is very important to keep in mind that when you make the web design or hire someone to do it for you, they create this design specific for Joomla, this will really help its usability. Before submitting you web design for a PSD to Joomla conversion make sure of the following:

1. Remember that Joomla works in modules and you need to keep this in mind when you create the templates.

2. Make sure you are also aware that there are several Joomla extensions available for different purposes so your design will have to be created taking into consideration any extension you may need.

3. There are hundreds of useful resources available online to help you improve and make the best out of you web design in Joomla, make sure you do your research according to your needs.

Now converting PSD to Joomla is really easy, at CodeMyConcept we have worked on hundreds if not thousands of Joomla implementations already, all you need to know however, is that to make a successful implementation from PSD to Joomla, first the PSD has to be sliced, turned first from PSD to HTML and then it can be implemented into Joomla.

Implementation depends on how detailed and customized the design is, usually an average PSD to Joomla conversion of a project with one homepage and a couple of sub-pages takes somewhere around 4 days to be fully done and functional, this includes both the PSD to HTML conversion and the Joomla implementation itself.

We really hope this article can help you understand better how this open source CMS can help you with your website, the stuff you need to consider before deciding which CMS will truly meet your requirements and expectations regarding the creation of your website and everything related.
